In collaboration with DGzPRsport and the IASD, the Hamburg Chamber of Dentistry has created a sports dentistry curriculum. “This curriculum will set standards – and not just in Germany. We’re convinced that an international gold standard for education in sports dentistry will be set, not only by how up-to-date the content is, but also given the quality of the speakers,” Dr. Marko Knauf, President of the IASD (International Association Sports Dentistry), Zurich, Switzerland, commented.
“It is a great sign for sports dentistry as a whole that a chamber of dentistry, as a statutory body under public law with a legal mandate to provide higher education and training, is including our area of specialism in its program and is doing so in close collaboration with our association. This means we (DGzPRsport, editor’s note) are really being recognized,” summarizes Dr. Christian Schwetje, Vice President of DGzPRsport, Hanover.
